Composite Decking

Composite Board Decking is a very popular material for decks in the Pacific Northwest.  When it comes to decks and longevity, many homeowners and GC’s are opting for composite decks over traditional cedar or other wood decks.  The main reason is the ease of maintenance and no dry rot and decay.

The list of composite decking manufacturers is long, but not all are equal in quality or availability.  The recent supply chain issues have hampered every corner of construction and composite decking is no exception.  There are big names like Azek, TimberTech, Trex, CaliBamboo, Sylvanix, and others.  Many of these are available at Home Depot, Lowes, or Dunn Lumber.  We have installed them all at one point or another.  It really comes down to 3 things

• availability

In addition to the actual decking material, there is always the issue of the deck structure itself and the footings.  We will assess the structural integrity of your existing deck or work with you on plans for a new deck to find out what is best for your budget, timeline and aesthetic taste.
